Soil Testing
Our state-of-the-art laboratories feature cutting-edge technology for testing, including:
- Automated soil compactors and modified compactors for sample preparation
- The most extensive collection of Oedometers in New South Wales
- Triaxial frames equipped with pore pressure measurement capabilities, capable of acquiring data up to a maximum pore pressure of 2,500 kPa
- 100mm Direct shear units with electronic data acquisition systems, accommodating maximum confining pressures of 1600 kPa
Rock Testing
Our state-of-the-art laboratories feature cutting-edge testing technology, including:
- Rock sawing facilities for precise core preparation
- Precision end face grinder enabling simultaneous machining of both core faces
- Two Compression machines dedicated to rock UCS testing
- Extensometers for integrating Young’s Modulus and Poisson’s Ratio with UCS testing
- 100mm Direct shear units with electronic data acquisition, capable of handling maximum confining pressures of 1600 kPa
